As part of the 2017 Liverpool Makefest hosted by Liverpool's Central Library, I led a day of drop in creative workshops. Working on behalf of Culture Matters, with funding from Children in Need, the workshops were designed to be inclusive and engaging to all ages and abilities. Participants were encouraged to act as explorers, discovering new and exotic plant life through creative making. Using 2d and 3d collaging, they created imaginative plants and flowers that had never before been discovered. We travelled far and wide collecting our botanical discoveries, from the depths of a jungle, the coral reef of a sea bed, the caves of an ancient mountainside, or the untrodden surfaces of planets deep in outer space.
